What Constitutes a habit?

Well they come in many shapes and forms. Such things as biting finger nails, nervous reactions, eating disorders. Some are not much more than annoying distractions, others are serious problems that prevent us from  being free, socialising or making friends.

Habits may be linked through time lines to events in our past, events that have produced limiting decisions that we find it difficult to overcome. Others just need a swift intervention that breaks the habit and frees us by giving choices and optional alternative behaviour.

OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)

OCD is characterised by intrusive negative thoughts, which normally result if feelings of anxiety and distress. It can range from such things as compulsive hand washing to aggressive behaviour.

Modern techniques are proving to be effective in dealing with this extremely common disorder. The combination of these approaches with the techniques and tools of NLP can dramatically enhance the therapy process. The result is a speedier change to a more manageable and normal lifestyle.
